Airlink suspends air connections between Johannesburg and Luanda

Airlink, the regional airline of Southern Africa, announced this Monday the suspension of its flights between Johannesburg and Luanda, following the decision of the Angolan Government to close the borders with South Africa, Namibia, Mozambique, Botswana, Essuatíni , Zimbabwe and Tanzania.

“Although we are disappointed on behalf of our customers who are being inconvenienced, we must respect the decision of the Angolan authorities. , Rodger Foster, in a statement sent to VerAngola.

Airlink also clarifies that it will carry out a series of repatriation flights, the first of which will take place this Tuesday, November 30th. A flight follows on Sunday, the 5th of December and, from that date, on Thursdays and Sundays, every week, until it is verified that the repatriation requirement is normalized.
