UMN occupies 16th place on the list, which was released this week by Nigerian UniRank, the best position of Angolan universities that are part of this table.

In total, the country has five institutions on this list: the UMN, the Independent University of Angola (30th place), the Agostinho Neto University (39th place), the Technical University of Angola (101st place) and the Catholic University of Angola (178th place).

According to the UniRank website, the top three places in the ranking are occupied by South African universities: the University of Cape Town occupies the first position, followed by the University of Pretoria and the University of the Witwatersrand.

According to UniRank, the accreditation of universities by government institutions that conduct higher education, the offer of undergraduate or graduate degrees of at least four years, as well as the availability of courses in a face-to-face education format, were some of the requirements that were considered to make this list.
