Several employees assured, in anonymity, that they were going through moments of great difficulty since the hotel chain saw their accounts blocked and started to be managed by the faithful depositary, the Cofre Geral da Justiça, who accuse them of doing nothing to solve these problems. .

However, the commission denies that there is a lack of interest in solving the problem of accounts, guaranteeing the normal operation of hotels, but admits to recognizing the lack of salaries. To Novo Jornal, a commission source assured that the accounts could be unlocked later this month.

In the same publication, officials say they do not believe in this outcome, which is not the commission's first promise. "Since this passed to the state, there has been no pronouncement or guideline. Two months have gone by without wages and people are surviving as they can. No response leads us to believe that something is really being done. , we are losing hope of seeing that situation resolved, "they say.

In addition to the concern with monthly payments, employees are still alarmed by the current management of hotels: "Hotels no longer serve the basics for customers, from toilet paper to providing meals for employees and guests. Because our the logistics department can no longer get products on credit, that is, receive to pay later, due to the situation of account blockages ".

Also according to the employees' report to Novo Jornal, the situation has been giving rise to complaints from guests, having already created a tariff that includes only accommodation. "Anyone who wants to eat at the hotel should have their food come from outside and that is a great discomfort for guests".

Speaking of incalculable debt, there are still reports of serious losses at the hotels in Moxico, Lunda-Sul, Huambo and Benguela, where ENDE has even cut off electricity for lack of payment. "Since the accounts were blocked, there has never been payment for any of our obligations, including with the State. Today, there is no water to drink in hotels. We see customers begging for a bottle of water and having to call companies to ask help ", they add.

Also in anonymous form, a head of the safe assured Novo Jornal that no redundancies were planned. "We are not going to fire anyone, but we expect everyone to comply with their labor obligations, while in the management committee we are doing everything we can to keep hotels running and guarantee jobs," he said.

It should be recalled that Carlos de São Vicente, a businessman who owns the hotel chain, saw his assets seized as part of an investigation process in which he was accused, being subject to preventive detention for evidence of crimes of embezzlement, economic participation in business , influence peddling and money laundering.
