Teta Lágrimas died. National music grieves again

Considered one of the great icons of national music, Abel Lágrimas da Conceição Santos, known in the artistic world as Teta Lágrimas, died this Tuesday, victim of a prolonged illness.

Born in Zaire province, he grew up in the Operário and Popular neighborhoods, in Luanda, where he started singing at the age of 14. At the time, he imitated songs by his older brother, Teta Lando.

He recorded his first album in the Democratic Republic of Congo, having later edited more works such as "Mãe de Todos Nós", " Coisas da Vida", " Luanda Já Foste Linda" or "Letra Chorada", in a total of eight published works.
