With this year's theme "Boosting Exploration and Development to Increase Production in Angola", the conference and exhibition, in its fifth edition, is expected to bring 2,500 delegates from 40 countries and more than 100 speakers from 500 organisations to Luanda, demonstrating the importance of the sector, which represents more than 30 billion dollars a year and 95 percent of national exports.
The conference will be opened by President João Lourenço and the Minister of Petroleum and Natural Resources, Diamantino Azevedo, and will feature sessions attended by the heads of Totalenergies, Azule Energy, ENI, Exxonmobil and Chevron, operators of blocks in Angola, as well as the state oil company Sonangol.
At an international level, the presence of ministers responsible for oil from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Namibia and Ivory Coast, and the secretary-general of the African Petroleum Producers Organisation, is noteworthy.
The Energy Capital&Power event is organized in partnership with the Ministry of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, the National Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels Agency and the African Energy Chamber.
