The inclusion of young people in the program is the responsibility of the Ministry of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication (MINTTICS), with the aim of directing more future talents to the area of space science. According to Minister Mário Oliveira, this will be a valuable contribution to the sector, which will enable young people to be equipped with new knowledge about satellite launches and programming.

The holder of the Telecommunications portfolio was present at the reception of the robotics team, having considered the achievement of second place an example of bravery from Angolan youth, which he characterized as dedicated and resilient.

“The medal you bring is a symbol for Angola, demonstrating that our country has a future, in addition to serving as an example for other young people”, he said, quoted by Angop.

After being named ambassadors of the National Space Program, the young people saw the minister assure them that they will be able to benefit from a scholarship at the ITEL Training Center, where they are expected to improve their skills.

Mário de Oliveira asked that the dedication of these young people acts as a "lantern", so that other Angolans can see the same path, embracing a career in the science of robotic programming.

The team that represented the Angolan flag in Singapore was made up of five young people, who took second place on the podium in a competition with 191 other countries. Trained by Cristóvão Cacombe, CEO of AROTEC (Angola Robotics and Technology), they were also made up of students Luís da Silva (13th class, Machines and Motors course), Clevânio Clemente (13th class - Machines and Motors), Joaquim Junior (ITEL finalist, Electronics and Telecommunications course), Edmilson Marques (13th class - Machines and Motors) and Marcos Manuel (13th class, Industrial Electronics and Automation course).
