Angola Restaurant Week celebrates the tenth edition with new restaurants and lots of news

The tenth edition of Angola Restaurant Week takes place between October 23rd and November 5th, in 24 restaurants in Luanda and Lubango, and promises many new features. The event takes place simultaneously in all participating restaurants, in the catering establishments themselves, with this year highlighting the participation of 13 new restaurants.

Promoted by Luanda Nightlife (LNL), the tenth edition of the event has some new features: the Signature Menu, a tasting menu with the chef's signature and wine pairing (40,000 kwanzas), available in certain restaurants; the Challenging Ingredient, which this year is jimboa and will be used in all Restaurant Week Menus; two Pop-up Restaurants with renowned chefs, which will only take place during two weekends; and a unique gastronomic experience.

"Angola Restaurant Week is an annual initiative that promotes our country's gastronomic culture and its main objective is to democratize access to good quality restaurants. The event has a strong solidarity component, as 1000 kwanzas from each Restaurant Menu Week sold are donated to a socially responsible institution", explains Cláudio Silva, founder and general director of LNL.

Each Restaurant Week Menu, available in all participating restaurants, has the following fixed prices: 12,000 kwanzas (two courses) and 14,000 kwanzas (three courses) during lunch, and 17,000 kwanzas (three courses) during dinner. This value may include other partner-dependent offers.

Regarding the "Pop-up Dinners", two are planned, in a restaurant to be announced soon, with chef Anselmo Silvestre, on October 28th and November 4th.

The unique gastronomic experience is scheduled for October 31st and November 1st, at Marina Baía, with chef Ricardo Braga and chef Rui Rosário.

The tenth edition of the event also features the Angola Restaurant Week Awards, on November 8th.

The participating restaurants, in downtown Luanda, are: Kimera, Origami, Vitrúvio, Marina Baía, Bessangana, Restaurante Haloma, Habesha, Viva Luanda, Wine O' Clock Bistrô, Vista da Fortaleza, Restaurante Poema, Fulmar, O Tronco, Alvalade 61 , Lost Table and Resgarte Teatro Bar.

In Morro Bento and Talatona, the restaurants Satiate, Moon, Oon.dah, Kitchen, 7 Mares, Pampa Grill and Ayo Restaurant participate, while in Lubango the restaurant Sá da Bandeira participates.

"We are celebrating the 10 editions and it is extraordinary to have the debut of so many new restaurants, which join those that have already accompanied us on this journey. It has been a memorable journey over these years, and our expectations for this edition could not be better ", reveals Cláudio Silva.
