According to a statement from the national oil company, to which VerAngola had access, the distinction "is a recognition of the notable efforts and investments that the company has dedicated to the stability of the oil and gas sector, nationally and continentally".
The recognition is also based on the company's commitment "to sustainability and energy transition", adds the note.
Quoted in the statement, Gaspar Martins, president of the company's Board of Directors (PCA), congratulated the team, considering that the award "is the result of teamwork and everyone's commitment".
"We are all to be congratulated. It is the result of teamwork and everyone's commitment, with the objectives that we have set and that step by step we are achieving. We cannot forget the guardianship and our partners who have supported us", he said.
It should be noted that the ceremony was witnessed by the presidents of the Executive Committees of UNEP and UNGER, Ricardo Van-Deste and Manuel Barros, respectively, as well as the corporate director of QSSA, Maria Luísa Van-Dúnem, among others.
