The IPCN of the National Statistics Institute (INE), consulted by Lusa, states that comparing the current year-on-year variation with that recorded in August there is an acceleration of 1.47 percentage points.
In the period in question, the provinces that recorded the lowest variation in prices were Bengo (1.15 percent), Moxico (1.17 percent) and Benguela (1.24 percent), while those that recorded the greatest variation in prices were Luanda (2.95 percent), Huíla (1.68 percent) and Cabinda (1.58 percent).
The Education class, among the 12 catalogued, was the one that registered the biggest price increase, with a variation of 4.08 percent, highlighting also the price increases seen in the Transport (2.70 percent), Health (2.39 percent) and Food and non-alcoholic beverages (2.25 percent).
The general level of the Consumer Price Index in the province of Luanda registered a variation of 2.95 percent from August to September 2023.
The Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages class registered the biggest price increase with 1.31 percentage points in September.
Also noteworthy are the price increases seen in the Miscellaneous goods and services and Transport classes, with 0.15 percentage points each, and Education, Health and Clothing and Footwear, with 0.09 percentage points each.
The remaining classes had contributions of less than 0.09 percentage points.
