FIFA provides half a million dollars to the Angolan Federation to support clubs

On Saturday, FIFA handed over half a million dollars to the Angolan Football Federation (FAF) to support clubs and sports associations.

This is the last tranche of financial support to Angolan clubs, within the scope of the covid-19 pandemic.

The FAF clarified that only clubs and associations that presented the expense reports of the first tranche, distributed in 2020, will benefit from the funds.

In total, with the support of FIFA to mitigate the constraints caused by the covid-19 pandemic, the FAF, with the clubs alone, has expenses estimated at 256 thousand dollars.

Sporting de Cabinda players for 11 months without salary

Sporting de Cabinda's players have not been paid for 11 months and are upset, due to the silence that they say there is from the club's management, revealed the team's coach, Manuel Vela.

"It is true that we are 'broken', and very saddened by the way in which the management itself is managing the situation, our management needs to be more transparent, because it has not been easy to bear this. This week, we stayed two or three days without work. We have other journeys to follow, seeing players without work greatly complicates the psychological state of athletes", he lamented.

As a consequence, the footballers consider 'crossing their arms' in the next rounds.

In Girabola, Sporting de Cabinda occupies the second position, with 10 points, as a result of this Saturday's victory over Isaac de Benguela by 1-0.
