In addition, "poultry broilers for the production of eggs and chicken meat" were also given to the families.
"Grain by grain of bean seeds and stake by stake of manioc seeds, were thrown on the ground by the two rulers, followed by the peasants present there from the ECA 'Happy Women' cooperative", the note said.
The statement also states that "now, within 12 months" the first results are expected.
On the occasion, the Minister of Agriculture considered that with this act that province "must make a qualitative leap in what concerns agriculture, it has arable land, water and people willing to work".
Cited by Angop, the official said that, in the region, the program for the development of family agriculture will start within the next few days, as is the case in other provinces of the country.
He also referred that the ministry he oversees intends to develop a program aimed at young people with the aim of emancipating youth in the agricultural sector, called "Agro-young", asking for the cooperation of traditional authorities and municipal administrators for this purpose.
He also highlighted the commitment of women in this sector, mentioning that around 90 percent of agricultural products consumed in Angola are produced by women.
Adriano Mendes de Carvalho asked the minister for "more support for Zaire" so that this domain can advance, having used "the old maxim: agriculture is the base and industry the decisive factor".
