BODIVA sets new annual trading record

The Angolan Debt and Securities Exchange (BODIVA) registered a new record last November 4th in terms of the annual amount traded.

:

The value, corresponding to the annual amount traded on the BODIVA Markets, is now set at 1,194,680,868,515.87 kwanzas, surpassing the record reached in December 2020, which corresponded to 1,187,026,437,590.56 kwanzas.

This milestone was only possible due to the active participation of the members, as well as, due to the promotion of financial literacy actions, and the availability of platforms that facilitate access to markets, says a statement sent to VerAngola.

Likewise, the stock exchange highlights the activation of new market segments, namely: the Stock Exchange Market (MBA) and the Repo Operations Market (MOR), which allow investments in the short, medium and long term as well as the diversification of the investment portfolio by individual and institutional investors, in turn serving as a financing mechanism for both the State and Private entities.

Thus, non-adjustable Treasury Bonds (OTNR) and Dollar-indexed Bonds (OTTX) were the most traded instruments, representing 78.04 and 19.44 percent of the amount traded, respectively. Since shares currently represent 1.70 percent of the total amount traded, of which the first admission to trading on the stock exchange of this type of financial instruments took place in June of the current year.
