Bodiva and Mozambican and Cape Verdean stock exchange sign agreement for staff specialization

The Angola Debt and Securities Exchange (Bodiva) and the Cape Verde and Mozambique stock exchanges signed an agreement with a view to the specialization of staff, through training and sharing of experiences.

According to a statement sent to VerAngola, the memorandum of understanding was signed this Thursday, in Maputo: "The Angolan Securities and Debt Exchange - Sociedade Gestora de Mercados Regulamentados, SA signed today [Thursday], 27 October, in Maputo-Mozambique, a memorandum of understanding with the Cape Verde and Mozambique Stock Exchanges", reads the document.

In addition to targeting "the specialization of human resources with employee training and sharing of experiences", the memorandum also aims to "promote the internationalization of markets within the scope of priority areas of cooperation", as well as "the promotion of new markets, services and financial instruments".

According to the note, the act was formalized at the international conference on Capital Markets, organized by the Mozambique Stock Exchange, where Bodiva was "represented by the Chairman of the Executive Committee, Walter Pacheco, and by the Executive Director, Odair Costa, who signed the memorandum and participated as a speaker at the conference, where he made a presentation on the Capital Markets in Angola, its evolution, challenges, solutions and perspectives".

About the event, the communiqué states that it was composed of two panels. A panel had as its theme the "Stock Exchange - Achievements, Challenges and Perspectives", where the PCE of Bodiva, Walter Pacheco, the PCA of the Cape Verde Stock Exchange, Miguel Monteiro, and the PCA of the Mozambique Stock Exchange, Salim Cripton Valá, participated.

The other was about the 'Capital Market Ecosystem and Boosting the Secondary Market' "from the point of view of an issuer, with the PCA of Tripigalia, a financial intermediary, the PCE of Banco de Investimento Global and the Executive Director of the Financial Sector Deepening Mozambique (FSDMOÇ)", concludes the note.
