Located in the province of Zaire, more specifically in the municipality of Soyo, the Stone of the Spell is an emblematic place of the culture and traditions of that region.
According to the archaeological record, the Stone of the Spell is of Bantu origin and probably dates back to the late 17th or 18th century.
It is believed that the stone helped to cure several patients, making the rock associated with occult forces. Due to these beliefs the stone was nicknamed the Stone of the Spell.
Visitors passing through that province can visit the Stone of the Spell. Access is by boat, since the stone is near the Zaire River.
