The Angolans opened the scoring over the interval, at 45 + 1 minutes, through the experienced Mateus, forward of Penafiel, who would have scored twice at 77, before Gelson Dala, of Rio Ave, to seal the triumph of the 'palancas negras' , at 79.

In addition to Mateus and Gelson Dala, Angola presented in this game three more players who play in Portugal: Hugo Marques (Farense), Show (Boavista) and Kadú (Sporting de Espinho).

On the side of Mozambique, Geny Catamo (Sporting), Gildo Lourenço (Amora), Zainadine, Bonera (both from Marítimo) and Witi (Nacional) were the 'Portuguese' representatives.

The two teams are preparing for the qualifying phase of the African Nations Cup (CAN2021), which is expected to resume in November, after being interrupted in March, due to the covid-19 pandemic.

After two matches, Angola has not yet scored in group D and occupies the last place, behind Gambia (four points), Gabon (four) and Democratic Republic of Congo (two).

Mozambique shares the leadership of group F with Cameroon, both with four points, ahead of Cape Verde (two) and Rwanda (zero).
