Study reveals that more than half of Angolans feel well informed about the covid-19 pandemic

About 53.7 percent of Angolans say they feel well informed about the covid-19 pandemic. The conclusion is from a study presented last Tuesday, October 20, by Keyresearch, a research company.

The study, which analyzed the brands and consumption habits of Luandans in times of pandemic, concluded that more than half of Angolans (51.3 percent) are optimistic about the times and 53.7 percent say they feel well informed about the pandemic.

In terms of consumption, Angolans became more concerned about their personal and home hygiene: "Home and personal hygiene products gained more consumption in this pandemic context," with 80 percent of respondents admitting to having bought more products for the home and 68.9 percent consuming personal hygiene products, Keyresearch said in a statement sent to VerAngola.

The study also revealed that consumption of soda and juices increased 18 percent, medication increased 8.9 percent and consumption of alcoholic beverages increased 5 percent.

"In the category of alcoholic beverage brands, Cuca was presented with the highest rate of notoriety, consumption and recall, followed by Tigra and Eka," the note indicates.

The results represent the "concerns, preferences, changes in consumption of products and services" of the 1000 respondents for this study. The survey was conducted to individuals over 15 years old, in Luanda, between August and October 2020.

"Overall, this Keyresearch Angola brand study is conducted three times a year and includes a ranking of the Top 10 brands in 10 categories including Home Care, Personal Care, Non-Alcoholic Beverages, Energy Beverages, Banking Institutions and Insurance. The study integrates different indicators that reflect the positioning of a particular brand in the various categories investigated", completes the note.
