This is the second time that the name of Calado Show is part of the list of nominees. The comedian made it known that all events that aim to recognize and promote the profession are always seen with good eyes.
"Just the fact of being nominated already makes me a winner. Gilmário and I are friends and I have often dragged him in my performances, to him I have respect and admiration, and regardless of being any of us, I will be equally proud," he said in an interview to the Platinaline.
The comedian also took the opportunity to leave an appeal: that the awards come to Angola.
The Angolans will compete for the award with Eric Omondi and Mammito Eunice (Kenya), Bovi (Nigeria), the British-Congolese Eddie Kadi, Patrick Salvado and Anne Kansiime (Uganda), the Malawian Daliso Chaponda and Loyiso Gola (South Africa).
