Talatona Art no Tupuca: for the first time an art gallery is accessible through an app

Art and technology have come together in an unprecedented partnership. The end of September marked the launch of an initiative that brings together the Talatona Art gallery and the application of Tupuca deliveries. The aim is to make art accessible, especially in times of pandemic.

In a statement sent to VerAngola, Talatona Art explains that it intends to "promote contemporary art and expand it throughout the country".

The metric is simple: the public will be able to digitally access the gallery catalog, place an order and set the delivery date.

On display are "different works and renowned artists", with emphasis on Uófole, Alcides Malayka, Tho Simões, Serafim Serlon, Ricardo Kapuka, Paulo Kussy, Guilherme Mampuya, Francisco Vidal, Fineza Teta, Armando Scott, Álvaro Macieira and master Kapela.

"It is extremely important to create mechanisms of access to culture, in this case for the artistic manifestation that is painting," says Lúcia Drügg, director general of Talatona Art. "We bet and encourage the digital aspect, because we know its relevance. little, we launched the first virtual exhibition in the country, with a 360 degree tour of the entire gallery and its works. Now, we believe that the partnership with Tupuca, in addition to its purpose, has the clear message of valuing art ", adds the person in charge.

Erickson Mvezi, general director of Tupuca, says: "It is an honor to participate in a project like this, as we are reinventing art and culture in times of social distance, that is, making them accessible in a practical, fast and efficient way. ". The official also says he believes that, "with this unprecedented debut, Tupuca is establishing itself as a creative and revolutionary platform in the delivery service".

It is recalled that Talatona Art is "a cultural space open to all artistic manifestations, with the aim of promoting, encouraging and being a transforming pole of Angolan culture and artists".
