OPEx: the application that wants to help Angolans save and manage their finances better

An application that aims to help Angolans save money and better manage their finances has been launched by Kioxke Tecnologia – the company also responsible for the Kioxke digital book platform. Called ‘OPEx – Economia Inteligente’, this is a free application that offers information on exchange rates, inflation alerts, among others, allowing users to make smart financial decisions, thus avoiding unnecessary expenses.

According to a statement from the company, sent to VerAngola, the application is available for both iOS and Android and offers a wide range of features to its users.

Among the features, it is worth noting, for example, that the application allows users to compare exchange rates in real time across all commercial banks in the country, allowing users to "identify the best rates for their transactions".

However, the application allows to do much more than just compare exchange rates. It allows to simulate the exchange rate in real time, meaning that users can simulate the "amount to be received in different currencies, based on the exchange rate of each bank", as well as knowing exactly how much they will pay in fees.

The statement adds that OPEx also allows to send money abroad through platforms such as Wise and N26, with no fees being charged up to 300 euros or the equivalent in other currencies.

The app also allows users to receive "personalized alerts about inflation in their area", helping them "make more informed financial decisions", as well as having a varied set of discount coupons from well-known brands, such as Shein and Aliexpress.

According to the statement, the app will soon also allow "consulting summaries of the capital market and stock exchanges" in the country.

The app also notifies users about the "last time each bank updated the exchange rate", allowing them to choose the "best option for their transactions".

"Committed to its mission of leveraging technology to better inform its customers, this launch represents the continuous effort that our team has made to add value to Angolans – first in the literary sector and now in the economic sector. I am very proud of the final product that we are launching and I am sure that OPEx will be a favorite of many of our users", said Luati Fontes, general director of Kioxke Tecnologia – a company that wants to make this application an "increasingly complete and useful" platform, being "open to partnerships with local companies to offer even more benefits" to customers.
