Two TCUL employees detained for preventing buses from leaving

The Criminal Investigation Service (SIC) detained two employees of Luanda's Public and Urban Transport (TCUL), who made the circulation of buses in the municipality of Viana unfeasible, causing losses of more than four million kwanzas.

:

The case occurred on Monday, when these employees, in an attempt to bring about a total stoppage of the public transport service for the citizens of Viana, "in an act of sabotage, drove one of the articulated buses, plus two normal ones, and parked them at the exit gate", announced today the spokesperson for the SIC in Luanda, Fernando Carvalho.

These employees made it impossible for buses scheduled to provide public services to pass, and in a continuous act allegedly stole the keys, which were found in the ignitions of 148 buses, he described.

"The conduct was allegedly due to persuading the company to pay bonuses to employees, causing the State to incur losses in the order of four million kwanzas in less than 24 hours", said the SIC Luanda spokesperson, in statements to Radio Nacional de Angola.

The investigations, continued Fernando Carvalho, allowed the location, in the parking lot, of "the keys hidden in a briefcase and a plastic bag buried in a pile of gravel, in a total of 148 keys, of which 56 for operational buses and 92 for inoperative buses ".
