Mfuca Muzemba spoke this Friday at a meeting with journalists, in the so-called "Café com País" space, in Luanda, in which he stated that the time of the Popular Movement for the Liberation of Angola (MPLA) in power "is over" and defended the importance of all sit at the same table and speak "the same language about the country".
The former deputy of the National Union for the Total Independence of Angola (UNITA) and former leader of the youth wing of this party said, on the other hand, that the proposal to remove the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, made by UNITA, could cause "instability politics" and that the arguments invoked "do not work".
The politician considered that, in the current context in which Angola lives, with an economic and social crisis, adding a political crisis would generate greater instability.
"Political crises in Angola have incalculable consequences that can generate violence or other types of interpretations," he declared.
Mfuca Muzemba also stated that the legalization of the Esperança political project, founded on June 24, 2021 and which did not meet "legal conditions" to run in the 2022 general elections, should once again be considered by the Constitutional Court, believing that the party will be recognized and will grow.
Denying that Esperança emerged to oppose the Angolan opposition, especially UNITA, he stated that the project did not arise to fight anyone and that "UNITA has to prepare itself with voices against it too".
