PR congratulates Liz Truss expressing interest in “intensifying very fruitful cooperation”

The President, João Lourenço, congratulated the new British Prime Minister, Mary Elizabeth "Liz" Truss, this Thursday, expressing the interest in “intensifying the multifaceted and very fruitful cooperation” that the two governments maintain.

João Lourenço, in a message to the new head of the British Government, said he hoped that the vote of confidence placed in Mary Elizabeth Truss expresses the conviction that, under her leadership, "solutions can be found to the critical issues that afflict the British people" to "continue to tread the path of progress in all sectors of national life".

The President also wishes, on his behalf and on behalf of the Angolan Executive, the new Prime Minister of the United Kingdom "best wishes for success in the performance of the functions she has just assumed".

Liz Struss won the British Conservative Party race and will replace Boris Johnson.
