From the 6th to the 8th of October, the X edition of the Portuguese Language Writers' Meeting will take place.
The event will have as its theme "Insularity and Universality in Literature" and will take place in Praia, Cape Verde.
The meeting, which will bring together writers and poets from several Portuguese-speaking countries, is an initiative of UCCLA and the Praia City Council (CMP), in partnership with the Praia Mobility and Parking Company (EMEP), the Cabo- verdiana de Letras (ACL) and the Cape Verdean Society of Authors (SOCA).
The official opening will take place on October 6, at 3:00 pm, at the Jean Piaget University, where the Prime Minister of Cape Verde, Ulisses Correia e Silva, the President of the CMP, Francisco Carvalho, the Secretary General of UCCLA, Vitor Ramalho, will be present. , the president of EMEP, Victor Coutinho, and the president of ACL, Daniel Medina.
The event will feature various activities and writers, including Angolans José Eduardo Agualusa and Lopito Feijó.
The meeting ends on October 8, at 4:00 pm, at the Hotel Trópico, and will be attended by the President of the Republic of Cape Verde, José Maria Neves, the Minister of Culture and Creative Industries, Abraão Vicente, the president of the CMP, Francisco Carvalho, the secretary -general of UCCLA, Vitor Ramalho, and the president of EMEP, Victor Coutinho.
