Institute of Meteorology predicts rains below and above normal in October, November and December

The projection of the rainy season for the period of October, November and December 2021 and January, February and March 2022 throughout the national territory was this Monday made public.
According to Inamet, between October and December 2021 it is expected to rain above average in the southeast of the provinces of Moxico and Cuando-Cubango, rain close to the average in the provinces of Lunda Norte, Bié, Huambo, Moxico, Cuando-Cubango, in the east of the provinces of Huíla and Cunene and the extreme southeast of the province of Benguela and the extreme south of the province of Malanje.

Rainfall is also below average in the provinces of Luanda, Cabinda, Zaire, Uíge, Lunda Norte, Malanje, Cuanza Norte, Bengo, Cuanza Sul, Benguela, Namibe and west of the provinces of Huíla and Cunene.

For the period between January and March 2022, according to a statement, above-average rain is forecast in the southeast of Moxico province and in the south-central part of Cuando-Cubango.

In the provinces of Cabinda, Zaire, Bengo, Namibe and Cunene, west of Uíge province, north of Luanda province, southwest of Benguela province, southeast of Lunda Sul province, central part of Moxico province, south of Bié province , a large part of Huíla province and northwest of Cuando-Cubango province, rains are expected to be close to the average.

Inamet forecasts also point to the first quarter of 2022 rains below average in the provinces of Lunda Sul, Cuanza Norte, Cuanza Sul, Huambo, south of Luanda province, far southeast of Bengo province, east of Uíge and Cuanza provinces South, north of Bié province, extreme northwest of Cuando-Cubango province, northwest of Lunda Sul province and extreme north of Huíla province.
