According to the spokesman for the provincial Civil Protection and Fire Service, Joaquim Domingos, the reptile was found in an area where several people who dedicate themselves to washing cars draw water for work.
The responsible, cited by Angop, said that the fact occurred on Sunday and that the animal was seen circulating in that area by popular, who alerted the authorities.
Joaquim Domingos pointed out that this is the second alligator captured in almost two weeks in the same area, near the Muembeji river, one of the tributaries of the Lucala river, where the presence of this reptile is known.
