The exhibition has already opened and features two collections by the Spanish painter, namely the 'Enterro do Conde de Orgaz' and 'A Flauta Dupla'.

According to a statement sent to VerAngola, the ribbon cutting was performed by the governor of Huíla, Nuno Dala, who was accompanied on the occasion by the administrators of ENSA, Matilde Guebe and Amália Quintão, as well as by the president of ISCED in Lubango, Hélder Bahu, and the vice-rector of Cuanza University and representative of the Ibero-American University Foundation (FUNIBER), Maria Rodríguez.

Thus, the "'Enterro do Conde de Orgaz' and 'A Flauta Dupla', two collections comprising 28 works by the renowned Spanish painter, Pablo Picasso", are now available to "lovers of fine arts".

The exhibition will be open to the public from 14 August to 7 September in Lubango, namely at the Instituto Superior de Ciências da Educação da Huíla, and will be open six days a week, with guided tours.

"The exhibition is being held with the support of ENSA, the Ibero-American University Foundation (FUNIBER), which holds the collections, the Spanish Embassy in Angola, the International University of Cuanza, AJS Transportes e Logística, and with the institutional support of the Government of the Province of Huíla", reads the statement, which adds that the aim of this initiative is to "show the public, especially the youngest and students, particularly art and visual artists, works by the man who innovated the visual arts in the world".

On the occasion, Matilde Guebe stated that "ENSA has long had the ambition to decentralize its initiatives and hold an art exhibition in Huíla, and an excellent opportunity has arisen to do so this year, associating it with the Nossa Senhora do Monte festivities".

The opening ceremony of the exhibition was also attended by judges from the Supreme and Appeal Courts, presidents of the Board of Directors of several public and private companies, as well as members of the Huíla government, professors and university students.
