Within the scope of the document now signed – whose signatories were the presidents of the Board of Directors (PCA) of the FSE and of the ACAAL Angola Group, Roberto de Almeida and Jorge Amaral, respectively –, the current infrastructures will be demolished, in the in order to originate another project, in an undertaking that will last approximately 36 months.

However, according to Angop, the aforementioned demolition will be subject to the acquisition of all documents, in a procedure that could take half a year.

The future structure of the hotel – acquired by the foundation in 2017 – will have 175 rooms: 160 suites, 10 master suites and five presidential suites. The project, according to Angop, also foresees a convention center with capacity for approximately 500 people, as well as a spa area, swimming pools, panoramic restaurant, shopping gallery, disco and even a parking lot.

Regarding the creation of new jobs, the PCA of the foundation said that the initiative will make it possible to generate between 600 and 700 new jobs.

Cited by Angop, the official added that the works will start as soon as they have the proper licenses. "We must still acquire the necessary licenses, authorizations from the competent authorities, such as the Government of Luanda and others, as soon as we have them we will start with the work", he said, quoted by Angop.

Jorge Amaral informed that the structures of the Panorama are completely destroyed due to the action of the sea, as well as because it has been abandoned for several years. However, quoted by Angop, he admitted that the future hotel will relaunch an exceptional area of Luanda, as well as reinvigorate tourism.
