According to the Criminal Investigation Service (SIC) of Uíge, the case took place in the district of Papelão, zone 3, when the victim was sleeping at home and her husband arrived, drunk, asking for food.
The daughter replied that she was on the table. Outraged at the daughter's response, the man questioned whether the dog had ever eaten, and the woman replied that the dog was no more important than people.
The couple started an argument and minutes later, the suspect grabbed the victim by the neck and hit him with his head against the wall several times, which fell.
The victim, with a hemorrhage in the ears, was rescued at the General Hospital of Uíge, where he later died.
"The suspect is already accountable to the SIC and will be present to the Public Prosecutor's Office for due process procedures," the authorities said.
