The event, organized by the Business & Innovation Forum with the support of the Institute for Administrative Modernization (IMA) and the Data Protection Agency (APD), also aims to foster a multidisciplinary dialogue between the government, businesses, academia, and civil society, aiming to contribute to the conscious and responsible adoption of these technological solutions.
Taking place at the Intercontinental Hotel, the forum will feature over 300 participants, including 30 national and international speakers with expertise in emerging technologies, particularly AI.
This first edition of the forum will feature speakers Meick Afonso, Director General of IMA; Gustavo Galegale, an international expert in Artificial Intelligence and Information Technology Governance and a professor at the Coimbra Business School (Portugal); Sérgio Lopes, Executive Director of New Cognito and Assistant Professor at the Catholic School of Business; Willian Oliveira, Managing Director of TIS; and Tito Moreira Tavares, Director of Financial Services Consulting at PwC Angola.

According to the forum's spokesperson, Estêvão Zinga, Angola is at a strategic point to accelerate the large-scale adoption of Artificial Intelligence. He states that the continued growth of connectivity, the advancement of cloud computing infrastructures, and the progressive access to large volumes of data create a solid foundation for this technological transformation.
For Estêvão Zinga, a telecommunications engineer and university professor, Angola is also at a digital inflection point, which requires an appropriate stance regarding the responsible adoption of AI technologies to boost the economy.
The spokesperson added that the National Forum on Artificial Intelligence constitutes a strategic platform that positions Angola as a protagonist of the digital revolution in Africa and should promote synergies between the State, the private sector, and academia, with a focus on advances in 5G and FTTH technologies, data centers, and submarine cables.
