On July 23rd, the NESR Art Foundation will host a conversation with artist, researcher, and writer Wendy Morris, currently in residence at the foundation.
Angolan curator Paula Nascimento will moderate the meeting.
The conversation begins at 5:30 pm at the NESR Art Foundation Studio (Boavista, Luanda).
In the session, the artist will present her project "Nothing of Importance Occurred: Recuperating a Herbal for a 17th-Century Enslaved Angolan Midwife at the Cape," in which she explores histories of antifertility plants as archives of resistance, intersecting art, performance, and historical research.
Admission is free.
