The Cosal Group invested around 20 billion kwanzas to reposition the brand, reinforce the car service infrastructure, as well as launch new services. Among the new features is, among others, the presentation of a new automotive portfolio of electric vehicles.

"The Cosal Group, which operates in the automotive, hotel and tourism sectors, among others, announced an investment of approximately 20 billion kwanzas in repositioning the brand, strengthening the car service infrastructure, to consolidate the quality of assistance technique to the brands it represents, and the launch of new services, renewing its commitment to innovation and sustainability", informed the group, in a statement sent to VerAngola.

The group invested in a new brand, which is positioned as 'The New Energy' and which was presented this Monday, in a ceremony where it was also announced "the new automotive portfolio of electric vehicles and the creation of the GC Brand Experience Lounges, open to public".

Quoted in the note, the group's executive director, Andrea Machado, said that "by investing in the new brand and positioning" of the group in the national market they want to reinforce their commitment to "innovation, sustainability and social responsibility".

"With the investment in the new brand and positioning of the Cosal Group in the Angolan market, we intend to strengthen and reaffirm our commitment to innovation, sustainability and social responsibility. The dragon, which now symbolizes our group, is more than a visual icon. It embodies the boldness, inspiration and transparency that define the essence of the Cosal Group, being a constant reminder of our mission: transforming dreams into reality, driving progress and ensuring a sustainable future", she said.

In addition, the group also launched an automotive portfolio of electric vehicles, which includes, in this first phase, electric cars from four brands, namely Hyundai, Mercedes, Fuso and JAC.

For Andrea Machado, this launch represents a "significant milestone" in the history of the Cosal Group: "The launch of this portfolio is a significant milestone in the group's history, reflecting the commitment of our companies to a greener future".

Furthermore, in order to support this idea, the group also announced the "implementation of fast charging stations, which will integrate a range of exclusive services", the statement reads.

"We are committed to implementing fast charging stations for the electric vehicles of the brands we represent, which will not just be charging points, but spaces designed to provide moments of reflection and connection, offering unique and memorable experiences. Exclusive services will be available at the GC Brand Experience Lounges, which reflect the Cosal Group's vision of creating an integrated network that combines mobility, leisure and culture, and, with this, contribute to an Angola that is increasingly at the forefront of what is best done", explained Andrea Machado.

According to the statement, the exclusive services range "from a new perspective on car purchasing, hotel reservations, catering and event scheduling, gastronomic experiences, spaces for work meetings and a distinctive cultural agenda".

"This is our commitment and our vision for a future full of energy and innovation. This is the New Energy", concluded the director.

The Minister of Transport, Ricardo Viegas de Abreu, was present at the ceremony, having, on the occasion, argued that "disruption or creative destruction has been one of the most effective ways of progressing humanity and the development of countries".

Also present was the South Korean ambassador to Angola, Kwang-Jin Choi, who said he was "very happy to participate in the presentation ceremony of the new Hyundai Motors model".

"I hope that this event, which showcases the milestones in technological innovation and the vision of individuals and companies for an advanced future, will contribute not only to the introduction of the new model, but also to promote economic exchanges between the two countries, which have developed over more than 40 years", he added, quoted in the note.
