According to a statement from the municipal administration of Luau, to which VerAngola had access, each of the newborns was born weighing 1700 grams.
"Unfortunately, one of the children was stillborn," says the statement, which adds that technicians are currently caring for the other three babies who are healthy.
The parents, Júlia Cahilo and José Armando, are two peasants from the municipality of Luacano and are in Luau receiving medical care due to their pregnancy.
"With the three girls, the couple has seven children in total, and they ask for society's support to support the children", says the note.
The birth of the quadruplets did not go unnoticed by the municipal administration, and the Luau administrator, Filomena Miza, visited the babies' mother this Tuesday.
According to another note from the Luau administration, to which VerAngola had access, "the director maintained contact with the hospital's medical team, who clarified that the children and their mother were in good health".
On the occasion, "some basic necessities and a layette were delivered to meet the couple's needs."
