"The Institute for Administrative Modernization (IMA) and Dell Technologies (Dell), an American company in the field of information technologies, signed this Friday, July 14, at the International Center for Executive Meetings in Dubai, a memorandum that marks the establishment of a strategic partnership aimed at promoting digital governance in Angola", informs the Government, in a statement to which VerAngola had access.
According to the statement, the memorandum was signed between the general director of the IMA, Meick Afonso, and the vice president of Dell for Africa, Habib Mahakian, "on the basis of which this North American giant will support the digitalization process in the administration public sector, essentially providing technology and transferring knowledge".
The document also establishes a "comprehensive collaboration in the area of digital governance", as well as "prospects the exchange of experiences, knowledge, good practices with a focus on the quality of public services, digitalization of the economy, improvement of the business environment, support for entrepreneurship, training and creation of human capital skills", reads the note.
When the memorandum was signed, the two institutions reinforced the importance of the said partnership, "in a global context of technological innovation", having also highlighted "the international dimension of the strategic relationship", as well as the gains for Angola, which seeks "for greater efficiency in the provision of public services".
