“Energy is a fundamental condition for the industrialization of the country”, says João Lourenço

João Lourenço inaugurated this Wednesday two photovoltaic parks that will bring energy to 1.5 million people. In Benguela, the President of the Republic stated that the country's industrialization cannot advance without this type of investment.

"The objective of electrifying the country is not only to serve the citizens, guaranteeing energy at home, but also to create the conditions for the much-desired industrialization of our country", he said, quoted by Jornal de Angola.

At the end of the inauguration of two solar photovoltaic energy parks built in the localities of Biópio and Baía Farta, the head of state stressed that there can be no industrial development without energy, which is "a fundamental condition for the industrialization of the country".

"We have been complaining over time that our raw materials are exported in raw materials, they do not have local processing, they do not leave local wealth, they do not provide jobs, because we export our raw materials raw" , he said, noting that if there is an abundance of energy, it is possible to overcome many of these setbacks.

"There will be no shortage of energy and investors who want to bet on different industries will have this essential asset for the functioning of any industry, which is energy", concluded the President.
