Speaking on Saturday at the presentation of the project, the official said that the infrastructure of the Patriot Gardens will consist of a parking lot with about 250 spaces, a playground, a Kibabo supermarket and a "green walkway" that will be composed of gardens and terraces.
Pedro Mateus made it known that the stores will have "great visibility", thus allowing a very "smooth" flow.
"We have 50 stores here in this space, including three large stores, which are the so-called anchor stores and we have Kibabo, plus a store of 800 meters and another of 1000 square meters," he revealed.
About the stores, the group's CEO indicated that the rents for the small stores will be around 500 dollars while for the medium stores the values will vary between 1000 and 1500 dollars.
"We are talking about a contract that we signed for six years, with a four-month deposit and with the common charges of five dollars per square meter," he indicated.
About the project in Morro Bento, Pedro Mateus made it known that it will be composed of 15 stores, five kiosks, and a Kibabo with 1500 square meters.
"This is our challenge, to open 20 supermarkets until the end of the year", he concluded.
According to Jornal de Angola, with the opening of these two dozen stores, the group estimates to create more than 2000 jobs.
According to the same newspaper, since September 2020 the chain has increased its number of stores from five to 15. The number of workers has also grown: from 500 to 1300.
