In João Lourenço's message to his counterpart Jorge Carlos Fonseca, released on Tuesday, the head of state highlighted the fact that in 46 years of independence, Cape Verde has imposed itself on the African continent as a successful nation in achieving its development goals.
João Lourenço also congratulated Venezuela and Algeria for the commemoration of their national days.
In a message to Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, the Angolan head of state expressed the hope that the date, which marks 210 years of Venezuelan independence, would be celebrated "in an atmosphere of solidarity and harmony among all children of this country".
To the Algerian people, in turn, President João Lourenço wished that "their great aspirations to progress, stability, development and welfare, be continuously realized," according to the note of the President's press service.
