Angolan is the first woman on the continent to specialize in drilling oil wells in Russia

Angolan Zuleica do Carmo Araújo Dassala is the first African woman to study oil and gas well drilling at the North Caucasus Federal University in the city of Stavropol, Russia.


The angolan has been outstanding in the academic field and has made history: she recently received a red diploma of merit.

The 25-year-old called the course "a great challenge", explaining that it was not easy "to study among 41 men of various nationalities".

However, quoted by the Platinaline, Zuleica showed "a deep gratitude and honor for making a difference and showing the potential of thousands in the engineering world, being a complex world".

Along with the angolan, the angolans Osvaldo Lourenço and Wilson Salesso also received a red diploma of merit. A recognition that put Angola on the radar of the North Caucasus Federal University.
