Admitting that this market is still "virgin", the responsible considers that the disclosure around the piped gas business has been increasing the population's knowledge and, consequently, has contributed to the increase of the adhesion to this type of service.

Quoted by the newspaper O País, the responsible made it known that "hotels, hospitals, shopping centers, military and police units have already opted for the gas piping system", admitting that "there is a lot of adhesion".

About 65 percent of the country's provinces have also joined the plumbing service, he said.

"We can say that it's a good deal and it's still in its early stages, even though we have coverage in the order of 65 percent of the national territory. There is still an open market," said Kelson Fernando, adding that the growth of the economy will also make the market for piped gas grow.

Ensuring that the piped gas is safer and has a longer life, the director of JK-Inspecção said that every month the company makes about 15 inspections, ensuring that the risks of the operation are usually considered when moving to the gas pipeline: "Being our gas network inspection company our duty is to advise our partners and employees about the risk and caution them, especially in maintaining regular maintenance".

Although the covid-19 pandemic has affected the market, it is estimated that this year the gas business will have a gross revenue of around 45 million kwanzas.

"Covid-19 is having a very big impact. With hotels closed during the state of emergency phase, our activities had to stop and our hands were tied", he stressed.
