João Lourenço's work agenda in Seville marked by meetings with international leaders

João Lourenço's work agenda in Seville, the Spanish city where the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development is taking place, was marked this Monday by several meetings with international leaders.

On the sidelines of the summit, the President of the Republic held a meeting with his Armenian counterpart, Vahagn Khachaturyan.

According to Angop, the meeting with the President of Armenia served to discuss issues of mutual interest, within the scope of strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation between the African continent and the Eurasian space.

Another meeting held this Monday was with Denys Shmyhal, Prime Minister of Ukraine, with whom he discussed bilateral relations and the strengthening of multilateral collaboration between both countries.

The President of the African Union also met with Philemon Yang, President of the 79th Session of the United Nations General Assembly. According to Angop, the meeting was dominated by the discussion of issues related to the international agenda and the challenges of financing for sustainable development.

It should be noted that, this Monday, the Head of State also spoke at the opening of this conference, which is promoted by the United Nations and takes place in Seville until Thursday.
