In a message published on the social network X, António Costa recalled that 2025 will mark the 50th anniversary of Angola's independence and the 25th anniversary of the partnership between the EU and the African Union, currently chaired by João Lourenço.
“In my meeting with President @jlprdeangola, we reaffirmed our strong commitment to deepening this strategic partnership – both at the bilateral level, especially in the field of public health and access to primary care, and within the broader EU-African Union framework,” the President of the European Council stressed.
“Together, we are working to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation between Europe and Africa,” the message concluded.
