Of the 170 participants at the event – where 125 startups and 70 companies will participate, as well as 15 thousand participants are expected – approximately 65 are foreigners. João Demba, spokesperson for the forum, speaking to Angop, said that it was on Sunday that foreigners began to land in the country, coming from more than a dozen countries, such as Portugal, Brazil, Namibia, Cape Verde, Russia, Japan, Zambia, Italy, China, Germany, France, Israel and India.
Félix Mutati and Mohamed Idris, ministers of Science and Technology of Zambia and of Information and National Guidance of Nigeria, respectively, as well as the minister of Information, Communication and Technology of Namibia, Emma Inamutila Theofelus, will also be present at the event, said the responsible.
According to João Demba, preparations are going well, with the stands of exhibitors and large companies expected to be ready this Wednesday.
According to Angop, the assembly of the stands is advanced, with more than half (approximately 80 percent) of the stands already standing.
In addition to the usual round tables, the event venue will, this year, host a training session. Thus, on the 13th and 14th of June, on the sidelines of the forum, training courses will be given on the 'introduction to spatial technological engineering' and 'decision support model in policies to combat drought in Angola', in an initiative that it will be up to the Space Management Office to direct.
It should be noted that among the new features of this edition, the installation of a tent designed to welcome public companies, ministries and provincial governments also stands out.
