The government of the province of Luanda informed, in a statement to which VerAngola had access, that this ban is related to the carrying out of repair work.
"The Provincial Government of Luanda informs the public in general and motorists in particular that, due to repair work on the section of road on rigid pavement, car traffic on the Samba service road (direction Centro Cultural Paz Flor-Centro da Cidade) will be completely closed from 10:00 am on June 7th, Friday, until 6:00 pm on the 21st. Alternatively, traffic will pass through the main Samba road", the note reads.
Therefore, the provincial government appeals to citizens who have "vehicles parked and damaged on the said road" to remove them.
"We also call on motorists to understand, collaborate and scrupulous obedience to the temporary signage and the instructions of the agents present at the scene", the statement also states.
