For the recognition, the African Confederation, Vocational Training, Technical Education and Innovation – promoter of the award gala – was based on the dedication and contribution of the Tocoist leader in the field of education and teaching, according to a note cited by Angop.
Furthermore, adds the note - quoted by Angop -, the acts of Dom Afonso Nunes also extend to the field of professional training and technical education in national and international terms, where the church has official representation.
According to the statement, the award ceremony took place last week (on May 26), in the French capital, at an event that was attended by several guests from different European countries and Angola.
It should be noted that the African Confederation, Vocational Training, Technical Education and Innovation – headquartered in France – is the second international non-governmental organization to distinguish the Tocoist leader. The first was the Brazilian NGO Afrobbras – Afro-Brazilian Society for Socio-Cultural Development, which awarded the Black Race Trophy to Dom Afonso Nunes in 2012, writes Angop.
