Unitel raises 4G signal in the provinces of Cabinda and Lunda Norte

In May, Unitel extended 4G voice and data services in the towns of Buco-Zau, in Cabinda province and Muxinda, in Lunda Norte province.

The extension of the 4G signal to the aforementioned locations was carried out after, between January and April, Unitel had done the same in 11 other locations in the country, namely: Cahama, in Cunene; Alto Hama, Chipipa, Cachiungo and Calenga, in Huambo; Tombwa, in Namibe; Songo, in Uige; Waku Kungo and Libolo, in Kwanza Sul; Cambambe, in Cuanza Norte and Dinge, in the province of Cabinda.

3G and 4G services are available in 345 locations across the country, allowing voice and data transmission (website browsing, downloads and faster use of online applications), explains Unitel in a statement sent to VerAngola.

4G covers the capitals of Angola's 18 provinces and has a deployment of 34.8 percent in municipalities and 15.4 percent in communes.

With more than 14 thousand kilometers of optical fiber, Unitel claims to have been "a true engine of technological development, by providing a network capable of supporting the transmission of voice and data calls with quality, reliability and transmission speed", factors that considered essential for the success of the service.
