The vast majority of Angolans (82 percent) are "satisfied with the option to work from home," the study reveals.
Among the main reasons to like this regime is the fact that Angolans have greater flexibility of hours (53 percent), feel more productive (38 percent) and have less expenditure (37 percent).
In a statement sent in VerAngola, Mira also explained that more than half of Angolans want to reconcile teleworking with face-to-face work in the future: 64 percent of respondents "would choose to be teleworking a few days a week and the remaining days in the workplace. The figures also indicate that 19 per cent prefer to return to the workplace and 16 per cent would opt to always be teleworking.
As for the advantages of returning to the workplace, the study indicates that coexistence between colleagues, a greater feeling of happiness and less pressure are the main factors indicated by respondents.
Although teleworking makes life a little easier for Angolans, there are some challenges and disadvantages: having children at home, difficulty in managing personal and professional life, working longer, having difficulties in accessing the Internet, little ability to concentrate and dealing with power failures.
Among the most commonly used tools for teleworking, 79 per cent said they used WhatAapp. Next comes e-mail (67 percent) and telephone (61 percent).
The survey for this study was conducted online to a total of 600 people between 7 and 17 May.
