In a communiqué, the State-owned company focused on the acquisition of bad loans from BPC, informs that at the end of 2017 it started a long negotiation process with the companies that were in the condition of debtor of BPC.

"In that period, the credit processes were reconstituted and signed on June 20, 2019, the Debt Recognition Agreements (ARD) with the Chicoil, ABC and STI Groups", indicates the note.

Given the negotiation process that took place between the General Tax Administration and the State's Technical Group for Creditor Support, "the first debt repayment payment of 1.5 billion kwanzas by one of the aforementioned groups resulted".

For RECREDIT - Gestão de Activos, "this is a decisive step and marks the beginning of a new cycle, guided by the determination to comply with the objective of maximising recovery", giving priority to direct negotiation with clients over the terms of debt repayments.

The body, which also manages the assets resulting from the acquisition of the credit portfolio, placing them on the market whenever it is considered advantageous according to its business, is available to negotiate with all debtors, "as long as they are genuinely interested in assuming their responsibilities".

"RECREDIT will remain focused on developing extra-judicial recovery solutions, not ruling out the possibility that in situations of need, it may resort to other measures legally foreseen", the document stresses.
