Boxing: Angola wins international tournament by winning 26 medals

Angola came first in the international boxing tournament, commemorating the 50th anniversary of national independence and which took place at the Cidadela pavilion (Luanda). A total of 26 medals, nine of which were gold, were won by the national boxing team.

In addition to the nine gold medals, according to Angop, Angola also won 12 silver medals and five bronze medals.

The podium of the tournament is also made up of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Mozambique, which came in second and third place, respectively.

The DRC won 14 medals (six gold, four silver and four bronze), while Mozambique took home five medals (one gold, one silver and three bronze medals).

As for the other participating countries, Namibia came just below the podium, occupying the fourth position (one gold medal and three bronze medals).

According to Angop, Congo Brazzaville (one silver and four bronze medals), Zimbabwe (one silver and three bronze medals) and South Africa (five bronze medals) follow.
