Minuto Verde-Quercus Angola in partnership with the NGO Intencional People in Need will hold the workshop “Climate Resilience: Challenges and Adaptations in the Local Context”, to take place on May 23, at 9 am, in the province of Cunene.
The workshop aims to promote a space for reflection, exchange of experiences and construction of local solutions in the face of extreme climate events that have devastated communities in the province of Cunene, and southern Angola in general. With a focus on local realities, topics such as water scarcity, the prolonged effects of drought, the need for sustainable practices and strengthening community resilience in the face of environmental changes will be discussed.
Aimed at young people, community leaders, civil society organizations, environmental technicians, institutional representatives and all those interested in the ecological cause, the workshop aims to reinforce the commitment to environmental education, climate adaptation, ecological justice and sustainable development.
