The CFL, in a statement to which VerAngola had access, states that the preventive intervention will take place "on the railway line from kilometric point 56+800, to kilometric point 66, in the municipality of Icolo e Bengo, province of Luanda", aiming to restore of the "technical and operational conditions for the circulation of trains with the required safety".
Therefore, the company informs that they are canceled the suburban trains transporting passengers between Musseques/Catete and Catete/Musseques, medium-distance trains transporting passengers between Musseques/Luinha and Luinha/Musseques and also long-distance trains transporting goods between Musseques/Malange and vice-versa.
"This measure should last for 20 days, after which we plan to restore train circulation on the aforementioned routes", says the CFL.
According to Angop, circulation should resume on June 13th.
The company, in its statement, "regrets the inconvenience caused", appealing for "everyone's understanding and collaboration", and is "working hard" to restore services within the established deadline.
