According to a note from the provincial government of Huíla, to which VerAngola had access, the ambassador was in Lubango last Thursday. "The 'Investehuila' aimed at business opportunities in agriculture, industry and tourism in the strategy of the provincial government of Huíla, arouses the interest of the ambassador of the United Arab Emirates accredited in Angola Mohamed Siyame, who worked yesterday (Thursday) in Lubango, received by Vice-Governor Maria João Chipalavela", the note reads.

On the occasion, the ambassador visited economic enterprises, as well as met with "business associations to strengthen partnerships with businesspeople and investors from his country, who invest in Angola and Huíla in particular".

On the occasion, the ambassador stated that they would "take forward proposals for local potential", followed by a meeting with businesspeople from the United Arab Emirates so that they could "understand areas of interest".

"We will take proposals for local potential, and then meet virtually with businesspeople in our country, so that they can master the areas of interest," he said, quoted by Jornal de Angola.

Mohamed Siyame considered that Huíla has potential that draws attention to attracting investment, whose areas of agriculture, industry and tourism stand out.

The ambassador – who was impressed with the locality's natural resources, considering that these, when well optimized, can lead to rapid development – also mentioned that the United Arab Emirates' investment in Angola is valued at approximately 2.9 billion dollars, which is evident the presence of the flag airline, a manufacturing unit for the assembly of agricultural tractors, as well as a company in the energy sector, writes Jornal de Angola.

It should be noted that the economic potential of the province was presented to the ambassador by Domingos Kalomana, director of the provincial office of Integrated Economic Development, who, in addition to indicating the mineral resources (for example gold, iron, etc.), also took the opportunity to highlight that the aforementioned province has the largest herd of goats, pigs and cattle at national level.

Among the province's needs, according to Jornal de Angola, is the implementation of a pharmaceutical industry aimed at animals, as well as investing in renewable energy and tourism infrastructure, with emphasis on Fenda da Tundavala and Parque do Bicuar.

Among the places where the person responsible passed in the province are, for example, the Nossa Senhora do Monte Tourist and Sports Complex, the Preciosa factory, among others.
